1. Introduction

The general terms and conditions of sale detailed below govern the contractual relationship between the User (hereafter referred to as You) and the B4U Direct company (hereafter referred to as We). Both parties accept these conditions unreservedly. These general conditions of sale are the only conditions that are applicable and replace all other conditions, except in the case of express, written prior dispensation. We maintain that, by confirming your order, you unreservedly accept our general conditions of sale, having read them. These Terms and Conditions of Sale are important to you and B4U Direct as they have been designed to protect your rights as a valued customer and to protect our rights as a business and to create an understanding between us.


2. Ordering

There are 6 methods in place to put through an order:
  1. by Internet on our site: http://www.b4udirect.com 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
  2. by Telephone at 0870 067 5467 (9am-5pm Monday-Fri)
  3. by Bank Wire Transfer - the order will be processed at the given price at the time of the sale. Please contact us for our bank account details and an invoice for the product that is of interest to you. Once your payment has been issued and the funds have successfully cleared to our account, we will send you a confirmation by e-mail that we have received your order with updates for delivery.
  4. by personal/company Cheque: the order will be processed at the given price at the time of sale. Please contact us with our payment information. An invoice will be supplied to you with instructions of the procedure. We cannot ship orders until the cheque clears to our company bank account. Generally this can take around 5 working days and unfortunately we have no control over this time frame. After the cheque has cleared to our account successfully, a confirmation email will be sent to you with an update for delivery of your goods.
  5. by Cash - as above, the order will be processed at the given price at the time of sale.
  6. an invoice will be provided and sent via email. Cash must be sent via registered mail; B4U Direct will not be held responsible if cash is sent to us in an unsecure manner. A confirmation email will be sent after payment has been received with an update for delivery.
  7. by Finance - through third party providers.


3. Product information

B4U Direct takes great care when putting information on-line with respect to the essential characteristics of our products, notably with respect to the technical descriptions emanating from our partners and suppliers and the photographs illustrating the products; this however, within the technical limits that exist and with respect for the best standards on the market.

All the accessories contained in the bundles sold by B4UDirect.com are compatible brand accessories and not manufacturer’s brands. Please note that some products' instruction manuals do not come in English. If the instruction manual does not come in English, this information will be clearly featured in the technical information sheet of the specific product.
Please note that in the case where you buy a product which does not have an English instruction manual you will be able to download the English manual by using a link that can be provided to you by B4UDirect where requested. As most products come with 2-pin plugs, adapters from European to UK plugs are supplied free of charge with your order.Please note, Epson items are delivered with French manuals & software. Both can be downloaded for free on www.epson.com


4. Prices

The prices indicated on the Site are in Pounds Sterling and include all taxes. Delivery is FREE! We reserve the right to modify our prices at any moment but will apply the current rates as indicated to you on the site at the time the order was placed. Please also see "Tax / Duties" section.


5. Availability

Please note that we will honour your order while stock is available.

In the event where one of the products ordered is not in stock, we will contact you in less than 15 days as of your order date to inform you how long it will be before we are able to deliver the product.

If there are certain products that are temporarily unavailable, we will send the available products and will pay the shipping fees for the rest of the order.We will offer you a replacement for an unavailable product, a product of equal price and quality.
If you choose to refuse, we will reimburse the unavailable product. If you wish to return it to us in the conditions outlined in (right of retraction – satisfied or reimbursed), the fees will be covered by us.


6. Delivery methods

The products bought on the Site will be delivered to mainland UK. In the event where you want your goods delivered to another country, B4U Direct will require a bank wire transfer payment. We will quote you the price after receiving a formal request from you via email. If you accept the quotation, an invoice and bank paymetn instructions will be given to you. After confirmation of cleared funds your goods will be shipped to your chosen address & destination. the price quoted at the time of payment will be the price B4U & You agree to proceed with at that given time. Please note that we do not deliver to the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands (Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey and Sark). B4U Direct methods of delivery:

Express delivery

This method of delivery allows you to receive your package within 24/48 hours after shipment from our warehouse via UPS/DHL. When you place your order before 1 pm, it will be handled on the same day if the product was indicated as being in stock on the site.
Please note that, since UPS/DHL Standard do not deliver on weekends, if your order is placed on a Friday it will be delivered to you on the following Tuesday, provided that your product is in stock at our warehouse.

Smaller items will have ROYALMAIL as a standard option for delivery. Please note that orders with multiple items can be dispatched partly by parcelforce and partly by Royalmail.

Forms of ID required for payments by Credit or Debit Card:
- In the event that B4U Direct request additional verification after a transaction from a customer has been made, a valid form of ID (passport, driver's licence, etc..) of the credit card holder, as well as the credit card used for payment & recent utility bill will be required. B4U Direct must make every effort to ensur that the screening of transactions received are 100% legitimate.

NB: All orders shall be placed on-line either via our web site www.b4udirect.com or through our customer helpline at 0870 067 5467.

B4U Direct does everything in its power to respect the delivery times indicated on the website. We cannot, however, be held responsible for the consequences of a late delivery or the loss of a package caused by a third-party contracted to make delivery, or by you, or because of some unforeseen event or an Act of God. In the event where you do not receive your package in the indicated time frame, an investigation will be conducted with the carrier and may take several days upon receipt of your claim (ex.7 days with Parcel Force / UPS Standard, 7 days with UPS). During this period, no reimbursement or re-delivery will take place.

Upon reception of your order, we recommend that you verify your products with the order that you placed with us and if necessary, write any anomalies that may have occurred on the delivery voucher, not forgetting to sign it. Without prejudice and with respect to the applicable legal guarantees, we recommend that you address any reservations you may have pertaining to malfunctioning products on the date of delivery as quickly as possible by Email via the contact us section on the site. Returned products can only be accepted for products in their original state, notably with respect to their packaging, accessories and manuals.In the event of non-conformity of the product purchased, the User will have the choice between repair and replacement of the product, except if the desired option has an associated cost that is manifestly disproportionate to the alternative. We would like to inform you that a delay of 24 hours is possible for delivery of your order. Complementary information may be requested, or demanded, in order to validate your purchase. By consequence, and in trying to avoid any delay, when you place your order please enter the following:
-a professional or paid-for e-mail address
-a land line telephone number (work or home) where you can be reached at any time of the day
Furthermore, for any order above the amount established by B4U Direct, a piece of ID as well as proof of address will be requested and should be sent via fax, or e-mail. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause; however, these measures are taken to protect our clients from possible fraud associated with bank cards.


7. Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)


The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling and reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill.

When you purchase from us we will recycle and dispose of your old electrical appliance for free. If you want us to do this simply contact us for further details.

9. Secure payment

B4UDirect.com uses secure EPDQ Barclaycard Payment Processing to guarantee the security of your payments.
B4UDirect has chosen to assure payment security by encrypting the connection when transmitting information on the network.
When you see the payment sign, you will know that your payment is secure.The name Barclaycard/EPDQ may appear on your bank account statement. Please note that if your security department of the card issuer suspects fraud, we have the right to cancel the transaction for security reasons.
B4UDirect offers a number of methods for payment: Credit card (Debit card, Visa or MasterCard), cash (registered mail only), gift certificates, bank wire transfer, finance options & personal/company cheque.
When you pay by credit card, your account will be debited around the same day the order is received, on condition that we have received pre-authorisation for your account. If sufficient funds are not available, your order will not be taken into account. For payments made on-line by credit card, the “Secure Socket Layer” (SSL) system of security is used, which allows for encrypting your banking information when on the network. Bank transfer payment: Your payment will be processed when your bank transfer is received. Once your payment is received we will dispatch your goods. The processing of off-line payments may take several days.


10. Right of Retraction - Satisfied or your money back

B4U Direct allows you 7 working days to return a product that you are not satisfied with. You can return the product within this time period, at your own expense, accompanied by your invoice and a completed and signed return goods voucher.
We request that you send us the merchandise by registered post and that you purchase insurance with the carrier for the value of the merchandise. This is notably necessary should they lose or damage the goods. Shipping fees remain the customer’s responsibility.

The present right of return only applies to products that are returned in their original, complete working condition (packaging, accessories, user guide etc.). Any product that has been damaged, or is not in its original packaging, or has packaging that has been worn beyond simply opening the product, will not be refunded.
All photos stored on a digital support (memory card, hard drive etc.) and sent back to B4U Direct by the User will not be kept. The deadlines mentioned above are effective as of the date of reception of the order. You can request a returns authorisation by contacting us first via the contact us section, goods sent to B4U Direct without any prior authorisation will be returned at the customers expense.

For reimbursements:

- If the product is cancelled within 7 working days of its delivery (the post mark being proof thereof), the User will be reimbursed by the very same method that payment was initially received by B4U Direct when you ordered. B4U Direct must receive the authorised return within a further 3 working days after the cancellation was made.
If tests need to be carried out on the product, in the framework of the right of retraction, B4U Direct will do its best to reimburse the User as quickly as possible. This time period will depend on the nature of the technical tests performed by the After-Sales Service of your product’s manufacturer, for a maximum period of 3 weeks.

Only Kitchen and Home Appliances :
Cancellations:

You can cancel your purchase at any time up to 7 working days following the day you receive the goods. In this case please call us on 0870 067 5467 (open Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm) with your order number and other relevant details or send an e-mail via the contact us section on the site with the serial number of the product to be returned. We will then arrange to collect the goods from you.

Your product must be complete and in ‘as new’ condition (i.e. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging). It must not have been used or installed. It should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories you received with it. By following the steps above you will receive a full refund for the price of the product and any delivery charges paid. However, you must pay the following charges if the goods are collected from you:

If you return two or more product types together, only the higher charge will apply. The collection charge will be debited from your account at the same time as your purchase is refunded and will be shown separately on your receipt.


11. Returns

All products except Kitchen and Home Appliances:
For any returned package, please contact us first for authorisation.

Please note that shipping fees are the client’s responsibility, except if the product does not conform to the description of said product (the client is responsible for any damage done during the shipping of the returned goods).

For the period covered under warranty, the client must return the product to B4UDirect's After-Sales Service, instructions will be provided.


12. Guarantees and After-Sales Service

All products except Kitchen and Home Appliances:
All of the products we sell benefit from:

  • The legal guarantee of conformity;
  • The legal guarantee from hidden flaws;
  • The manufacturer’s guarantee for a period defined by the product purchased and the brand. Shipping fees of the products are the customer’s responsibility.
However, if the product does not conform to the product description, shipping fees will be reimbursed to the customer.

B4U Direct will handle possible repairs with the manufacturers.
Whatever the problem is with your product, you must attach, with the defective product, a copy of your invoice, the guarantee (in the box) and the return goods voucher.
Please note that legal guarantees do not apply to repairs for damage caused by external origin (for example, accidents, shocks, fluctuation of electricity etc.) or by the user’s faulty usage of the product such as a non-conforming installation or using it for commercial purposes or using said product with incorrect peripherals, accessories or consumables. The manufacturer’s guarantees sold by B4U Direct do not cover: -replacement of consumables (batteries, light bulbs, fuses, recording heads or lasers etc.),
-the abnormal use or non-conforming usage of products. We ask that you consult the user’s manual provided with the products
-malfunctioning due to accessories (power cables etc.)
-damage from external sources (shocks, accidents, electricity current fluctuations etc.).

In all cases, B4U Direct will not be held responsible in the event that the manufacturer refuses to honour the warranty due to, but not limited to, any of the above noted reasons.

In the event where the manufacturer will not provide service under warranty, an estimate of the cost of the repair will be given to the customer. Administrative fees will be requested if payment for the estimate is not made. If the User agrees to the estimate, a cheque will be issued to B4U Direct and will correspond to the estimate amount, and ought to be sent to us.


Faulty goods Only Kitchen and Home Appliances:

If there is a fault with your product within 12 months of delivery (or other defects with your order), we will normally offer a prompt repair, exchange. You will always have the option of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 28 days of delivery. To qualify for a refund or exchange the product must be:- In “as new” condition, and- Complete, with any accessories and free gifts offered with it (and, if possible, the original box and packaging). This guarantee does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. Any refund due to a fault or other defect will include a refund of the applicable delivery charge. We will also pay for our costs of collecting goods for replacement or refund. Replacement goods are sent by standard delivery only.


13. Responsibility

B4U Direct will not be held liable for poor use and its consequences on the products purchased from our Site. Although our products have performance that is compatible with professional usage, B4U Direct does not sell products for professional usage.

Discount/promotional codes
These codes are frequently offered in the press and with our different partners. Their use is subject to certain conditions:
  • Codes are valid for use only on specified products on our website. A code can be used only once per person and cannot be reimbursed. Only one promotional code can be used per order.
  • In order to benefit from the reduction with a promotional code, the code must be quoted when your order is made over the telephone or written into the appropriate box when you place the order on the website. If you forget to use the code we can neither cancel the order nor replace it to allow you to use the code.
  • Codes are only valid for the period stipulated in the press and by our partners.


14. Commentary, criticism, communication

Any opinions left by B4U Direct Users are screened and moderated by the marketing team.
If the comments infringe on the law or are inappropriate (abusive publicity, defamation, insults, out of context commentary…), B4U Direct reserves the right to refuse it or to modify it.


15. Protection of personal data

Since the details you give us are essential for the processing and delivery of orders, for billing and for the establishment of warranty contracts, failure to provide these details will result in the cancellation of your order.
By registering on the Site, you agree to provide us with sincere and true information as it concerns you.

Communicating false information is contrary to the present General Conditions as well as the conditions of use listed on the Site.
B4U Direct is authorised to extract, handle and use information that concerns you.
This information is the subject of computer processing.

You can at any time make a request to B4U Direct to find out what personal information they have concerning you. You may at any time, and by request, modify this information. If you accepted to receive our promotional e-mails when you registered on the Site, offers including new items, clearance, exclusivities, good deals etc. will be sent to you. You may at any time request not to receive any further e-mails from us by un-subscribing within one of the emails at the bottom of the page.
Only B4U Direct has information regarding you.

If you so accepted as of registration on the Site, B4U Direct and its contractual partners may send you information concerning particular and occasional promotions.

B4U Direct’s partners have been specially chosen by B4U Direct and are recognised for the quality of their products and services.


16. Intellectual ownership

All the content on the B4U Direct site (illustrations, texts, names, brand names, images and videos) is the property of B4U Direct, its co-contractors or partners. Any partial or total reproduction of this content, by any means and on any support, is subject to prior and express authorisation by B4U Direct.
All information, content, files and software offered by our services is protected by UK and International law concerning intellectual ownership and copyright.

B4U Direct cannot give you the right to copy, display or distribute content that you do not have the intellectual rights to. All fraudulent use of this content that violates the rights held by a third party constitutes an offence of forgery, which is severely punished under the Intellectual Property Code.
B4U Direct will not, under any circumstances, be held responsible if a user violates rights held by a third party through his activities on the site.
